International Science Poetry Competition

Posted by Miss Berrisford on January 17, 2008

Yes now you too could write a poem on the theme of SCIENCE and win international acclaim! (and a nice shiny trophy, and the chance to boast to all your friends!)  The poem could be about anything from science lessons, to the problems with genetics.  From what you think about science teachers to what makes up an atom!  Check out the following website for details!  and don’t forget that the Reading and Writing Club runs every Tuesday after school if you want some help!

So i’ll see you in chemistry then,
He said and went all red.
    She looked away.
    Embarrased.
    Frustrated.
Not wanting things to get complicated..

    She sat down.
Listening to the teacher go on about word equations.
Her mind was a world away.
    Her eyes went blurry.
She could vaguely see his figure infront of her.

    You look very beautiful today.
She pushed her shiny white hair, that glitters in the moonlight, to the side.
He looked up at her twinkling big blue eyes.
    He smiled.
All the anger that she had felt before just seemed to fade away.
She went back to writing her word equations..
